Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a phone call with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain following the recent Iranian attack that targeted Bahraini territory.
According to the Egyptian Presidency, El Sisi expressed Egypt’s full solidarity with Bahrain, both its leadership and people. He reiterated Egypt’s firm rejection of any violation of Arab states’ sovereignty or actions that threaten their security and stability. The President warned that such attacks pose a serious threat to regional security and risk further escalation and instability.
Presidential spokesperson Ambassador Mohamed El‑Shenawy added that President El Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s long-standing position that political solutions, dialogue, and diplomacy remain the only effective approaches to resolving regional crises. He stressed that continued military escalation will only lead to more violence and bloodshed, contradicting the region’s aspirations for security and development.
King Hamad expressed his appreciation for Egypt’s supportive stance toward Bahrain and praised the strong and historic relationship between the two countries. He also emphasized the importance of joint Arab coordination in addressing current challenges and safeguarding Arab national security.
