Egypt has expressed deep concern over the serious military escalation in the region, warning of the risks of widening conflict and the potential slide into widespread chaos with grave consequences for regional and international peace and security.

In a statement issued Saturday, the foreign ministry reaffirmed that political and peaceful solutions remain the only viable path to stability, stressing that military options would only lead to further violence and bloodshed.

Egypt strongly condemned Iran’s targeting of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of several Arab states, including Kuwait, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Jordan, describing such actions as a serious threat to Arab and regional security.

Cairo underscored the need to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states, uphold the principle of good neighborliness, and exercise maximum restraint to prevent further escalation and safeguard regional and international stability.
