DOHA – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty said that current regional and international developments require constant consultation between President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

In televised statements, Abdelatty hailed the strength of Egypt-Qatar relations, driven by shared priorities.

He noted that the humanitarian crisis in Gaza tops the shared agenda, alongside joint efforts with the United States to halt attacks on civilians and ensure access to aid.

The Top diplomat noted that Egypt’s economic reforms and infrastructure progress have drawn strong interest from Qatari investors.

He added that President Sisi met with major Qatari investors during a business forum, where discussions focused on agriculture, renewable energy, real estate, tourism, and industry.

Abdelatty pointed out that new projects and investment deals will be announced soon, reflecting growing economic ties.

He also noted that several new projects and agreements will be announced soon.

Additionally, the minister confirmed that Egypt and Qatar are continuing efforts to reinstate the January ceasefire in Gaza, stressing that the ongoing escalation will only increase civilian suffering.
