Egypt is stepping up its diplomatic outreach to all relevant parties amidst the recent escalation in Yemen, emphasising the urgent need for calm and a renewed commitment to lasting peace in the country.

In a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Egypt expressed deep concern over the evolving situation in Yemen, warning against the risks of further escalation and its potential repercussions on Yemen’s security and stability, as well as the broader region.

Restating its unwavering support for the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Yemen, Egypt called for the preservation of the country’s national institutions and the protection of the Yemeni people’s interests. The statement stressed that comprehensive solutions addressing the root causes of the conflict are essential to ending the crisis and meeting Yemenis’ aspirations for peace, security, and development.

“Dialogue and reason must prevail,” the Ministry said, urging all parties to exercise restraint, avoid unilateral actions that could threaten stability, and support efforts aimed at de-escalation.

Egypt reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to facilitating a comprehensive and sustainable political settlement in Yemen, underlining the importance of continued consultation with all concerned parties.
