Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr Ayman Ashour held a meeting yesterday with Vice President of the University of Essex Maria Fasli and accompanying delegation.
The minister stressed the deep historical ties between Egypt and the UK, highlighting the importance of boosting co-operation between the two countries, particularly in education, research, and training.
He also underscored the need to enhance partnerships between Egyptian and British universities.
Ashour noted that the Egyptian government supports the provision of high-quality higher education qualify graduates for local, regional, and international job markets.
This aligns with the objectives of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Egypt’s Vision 2030.
For her part, Dr Maria Fasli voiced appreciation for significant progress witnessed in Egypt’s higher education and research system in recent times.
She said that the delegation of University of Essex would visit several Egyptian universities to explore opportunities for joint co-operation, expressing the University’s readiness to collaborate with Egyptian institutions.
