Minister of Labor Mohamed Gobran received Thursday UAE ambassador to Egypt and UAE’s Permanent Representative to the Arab League (AL) Hamad Obaid al-Zaabi at the ministry’s headquarters in the New Capital.
The meeting focused on exploring ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the various areas of mutual interest.
During the meeting, the minister highlighted deep brotherly and historical ties between Egypt and the UAE, praising the ongoing coordination and fruitful collaboration across multiple fields, particularly in labor mobility and the exchange of expertise in employment policies and workforce protection.
Gobran also reviewed the ministry’s efforts to develop the vocational training system and modernize its training centers to meet the demands of the local, Arab and international labor markets, in line with the directives of Egypt’s leadership to prepare youth and provide them with decent and sustainable employment opportunities.
For his part, Zaabi lauded Egypt’s qualitative developments in labor and employment, emphasizing the UAE’s keenness on enhancing joint cooperation with Egyptian Ministry of Labor in skills exchange, training program development and facilitating the mobility of skilled labor between the two countries.
