Egypt’s Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker met Wednesday with Hon Judith Kapinga, Tanzania’s Deputy Minister of Energy, to discuss the Egyptian experiment in upgrading the electricity and renewable energy sector.

Shaker hailed as “distinguished” relations between Cairo and Dodoma. He said the electricity and renewable energy sector in Egypt is willing to enhance cooperation with Tanzania, provide technical support and exchange expertise with Tanzanians, a statement by the Ministry said.

Proudly rooted in Africa, Egypt is well aware of the common challenges facing countries in the continent, the minister said, stressing keenness on joint action with all African states, especially Tanzania, with the aim to achieve sustainable development and prosperity.
