Egyptian Minister of Manpower Hassan Shehata yesterday met with Sudanese Minister of Labour and Administrative Reform Suad Ahmed Al-Tayeb for co-operation talks.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of day three of the 48th Arab Labour Conference, organised by the Arab Labour Organisation (ALO) under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Shehata said his ministry is ready to co-operate with Sudan in expertise exchange in vocational training, referring to the protocols signed between the two ministries in this field.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the conditions of around 5 million Sudanese workers in Egypt.
Egypt supports all efforts to promote peace and stability in Sudan, the minister said, adding that Sudan’s stability is an integral part of the security and stability of Egypt.
The Sudanese official thanked President Sisi for extending the grace period for Sudanese workers here to legalise their position until next month and to protect their rights.
