Egyptian Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah Eddin Moustafa on Wednesday received delegations from the American defence giant Northrop Grumman and the Greek Hellenic Vehicle Industry, on the sidelines of the Egypt Defence Expo (EDEX 2025), which concludes today.

During discussions with the Northrop Grumman delegation, Minister Moustafa stressed that the Ministry of Military Production is committed to meeting the operational requirements of the Egyptian Armed Forces, encompassing small, medium and heavy ammunition, weaponry, equipment, tanks, armoured vehicles, rocket launchers, and advanced electronic systems. He added that the ministry also leverages surplus production capacities within its subsidiaries to manufacture civilian products and contribute to national development projects.

The minister expressed his keen interest in deepening defence-industry collaboration with the United States in a manner that generates mutual benefit.

Representatives of Northrop Grumman highlighted the ministry’s extensive technical and manufacturing expertise, noting Egypt’s notable progress in its military industries through partnerships with leading global companies. “This progress is particularly evident in the professionalism and scale demonstrated at EDEX 2025,” they remarked.

Separately, Minister Moustafa met with representatives of the Greek company Hellenic, during which he reviewed the technological and production capabilities of the ministry’s affiliated companies. He underlined the ministry’s commitment to strengthening co-operation with international firms across multiple fields to facilitate technology transfer, joint manufacturing, and capacity building.

Hellenic specialises in the design, development, and manufacture of advanced military, security, and industrial electronic systems and software.

The meetings underscore Egypt’s ongoing efforts to expand its defence-industrial base and enhance international collaboration, positioning the country as a key regional hub for advanced military manufacturing.
