Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly affirmed that convening the Supreme Hajj Committee aims to ensure effective coordination among the various relevant authorities, in order to guarantee readiness and proper preparations for providing the best services to Egyptian pilgrims during the upcoming Hajj season, ensuring the smooth and easy performance of the rituals.
This came as Madbouly chaired, on Sunday evening, the meeting of the Supreme Hajj Committee, attended by Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development, Minister of Industry and Transport Eng. Kamel El-Wazir; Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy; Minister of Social Solidarity Dr. Maya Morsy and Minister of Awqaf (Religious Endowments) Dr. Osama El-Azhary.
The meeting tackled the proposed regulations for the upcoming Hajj season of 1447 AH / 2026 AD, where the Prime Minister instructed full coordination with the Saudi side to implement all measures that contribute to ensuring the safety of pilgrims and the proper performance of rituals.
During the meeting, the procedures and medical examinations that Egyptian pilgrims undergo each year were reviewed, in line with the regulations set by the Ministry of Health and Population, along with the steps taken to electronically record each patient’s health data to ensure distinguished medical services for Egyptian pilgrims. It was also noted that EgyptAir’s fleet is fully prepared to transport all Egyptian pilgrims.
