Egypt continues efforts to ease tensions in the region. Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdel-Aati held intensive talks with regional and international counterparts. He spoke with Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdullatif Al Zayani, and Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

The minister stressed the need for collective action to reduce escalation and prioritise political solutions. He warned against the expansion of military operations, which threaten regional stability. Minister Abdel Aaty condemned attacks on the sovereignty of Gulf states, Jordan, and Iraq, saying there is no justification for such actions. He highlighted the risks of widening violence and its impact on regional and global peace.

In his call with Jordan’s foreign minister, Abdel-Aati discussed current developments and praised Jordan’s support in evacuating Egyptian nationals from neighboring countries.

During his conversation with Iran’s foreign minister, Abdel-Aatiunderlined the danger of the situation and repeated Egypt’s rejection of Iranian attacks on Gulf states, Jordan, Iraq, Turkey, and Azerbaijan. He urged respect for sovereignty and good neighbourly relations. He emphasised diplomacy and dialogue as the only path to prevent chaos and safeguard regional security, including the safety of international navigation.
