CAIRO – Upon the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, five military cargo planes took off, carrying large quantities of medicines and other medical supplies to back Syria and Türkiye which were hit by a deadly quake lately.
The assistance aims at contributing to relief efforts following the devastating earthquake that killed more than 11,000 in both countries on Monday.
The aid also underlines the importance of humanitarian support in face of natural disasters in a way that strengthen brotherly relations among different peoples.
Officials in the two countries expressed appreciation for the assistance sent by Egypt to help control the horrifying impact of the devastating quake.
