Egypt sent medical aid to Somalia in line with directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to continue backing the sisterly country in its time of difficulty and help it face up to various ordeals.
A military plane took off Saturday morning carrying tons of medicines and medical supplies offered by the Egyptian Health and Population Ministry to Somalia with the aim to alleviate burdens on the African state.
Meanwhile, Somalia voiced deep appreciation to Egypt for its support, stressing that this assistance reflects the fraternal bonds and the deeply-rooted relations between the two countries.
This underscores Egypt’s pioneering role in supporting various African states.
