An exceptional plane left Egypt on Wednesday to Lebanon carrying 22 tons of humanitarian aid from the Egyptian Red Crescent.
A flight will take off later in the day from Beirut to Cairo carrying 298 Egyptians back home.
This falls within the framework of the political leadership’s directives to offer all needed support to Lebanon in addition to coordination to organize exceptional flights to bring Egyptians back home from Lebanon.
In statements on Wednesday, Civil Aviation Minister Sameh Hanafi underlined keenness on coordination with the bodies concerned to offer all needed support to the Lebanese people.
He lauded coordination with the Foreign Ministry, the Egyptian embassy, and EgyptAir to bring Egyptians back home from Lebanon, extolling EgyptAir’s patriotic role.
