Nearly 26,000 new companies were established in Egypt during the first half of 2026, an increase of around 20% compared with the same period last year, according to the Cabinet’s Media Centre.
In an infographic published on its social media platforms, the Centre said the issued capital of the newly established companies reached approximately LE97.5 billion, signalling stronger investment activity and an expanding business base.
The surge is expected to support production expansion, create additional jobs and strengthen the private sector’s contribution to the Egyptian economy.
The increase comes amid ongoing state efforts to improve the business environment, streamline company registration procedures and develop investment services, with the aim of enhancing Egypt’s appeal as an investment destination, encouraging greater investment and supporting broader economic activity nationwide.
