Egyptian Ambassador to Malta Khaled Anis discussed on Wednesday with Gavin Gulia, Chairman for the Malta Tourism Authority, efforts to resume direct flights between the two countries.
The Egyptian diplomat said flights between the two countries could be resumed within the coming period via an Egyptian aviation company, the Foreign Ministry said on its Facebook account.
The Maltese official said the Egyptian company could benefit from privileges offered by Malta International Airport.
The two sides agreed on the importance of promoting for Egypt’s tourist destinations.
