Egypt’s Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad, accompanied by Fayyum Governor Ahmed el Ansari, headed for Amman on Sunday to mull investments in the natural reserves domain.
The visit comes upon the invitation of Princess Alia bint Hussein for talks on boosting infrastructure between the two countries in the protectorates domain.
The visit also comes upon the Egyptian premier’s directives to boost environment and climate investment within this period.
In pre-departure statements, the minister said the two sides will probe ways of pumping investments in the natural reserves domain through setting up a park for wild animals in cooperation with Jordan similar to the park established at Al Ma’wa for Nature and Wildlife to encourage environmental tourism.
The minister said she will pay a visit to Al Ma’wa for Nature and Wildlife in Jerash to know more details on the park there and ways of engaging the private sector in such projects.
