Egyptian Spokesman for the Health and Population Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said that Egypt is seeking to leverage its full potential to become among the world’s top medical tourism destinations.
In a phone call with TEN satellite TV channel, Abdel Ghaffar said that Egypt has distinguished and well-trained medical teams in addition to a strong health care infrastructure which includes internationally-accredited hospitals and health facilities.
Egypt also has top-of-the-line hotels and boasts famous tourist sites and archaeological landmarks as well as locations where natural treatments for many bone, skin and digestive and respiratory systems diseases are available such as Helwan, Ain Assera, Ain Sokhna, Hurghada, Fayoum, Oasis, Aswan, Sinai and Safaga on the Red Sea, he also said.
Egypt just needs to increase its profits from medical tourism through an efficient integrated management system, he added.
