State Minister for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Soha El Gendy and Labor Attaché at the Saudi Embassy in Cairo Faisal al Otaibi launched Saturday an awareness campaign dubbed “know your right and be assured,” which targets Egyptians living in Saudi Arabia.
The initiative seeks to familiarize Egyptians working in Saud Arabia with their rights and duties under the kingdom’s labor law.
Hailing the deep rooted ties between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, Gendy said the initiative’s material has been prepared in a simple language accessible to all targeted individuals, regardless of their educational levels or cultural background.
The project took up several months from both sides to be prepared so as to reach the desired outcome, the minister added during the launch ceremony.
“We are all proud of the final product of the campaign, as the first-of-its-kind fruit of cooperation between the Egyptian emigration ministry and the Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development,” Gendy said.
