Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Co-operation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdel-Aati, affirmed on Tuesday Egypt’s unwavering support for its brotherly Arab states in light of the rapidly evolving regional situation.

He stressed Egypt’s categorical rejection of any attacks targeting Arab territories or infringing upon their sovereignty under any pretext, underscoring that Arab national security is indivisible and remains a cornerstone of Egypt’s foreign policy.

In this context, the foreign minister held a series of telephone conversations with Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman, and Asaad al-Shaibani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Syria.

The discussions focused on the escalating regional developments and included an exchange of assessments regarding the current military situation and its potential repercussions, said the Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ambassador Tamim Khallf.

The ministers expressed deep concern over the dangerous escalation and its serious impact on regional peace and security, warning against the expansion of the conflict and the direct threat it poses to international stability.

The ministers agreed to maintain close consultation and coordination in the coming period, intensify discussions on future regional arrangements.

They also emphasised the importance of unifying the Arab position in a manner that safeguards Arab interests and preserves the security and stability of the region and its peoples.
