Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aati took part in an extraordinary ministerial session of the Arab League on Sunday.
The virtual meeting, chaired by the UAE, was convened to discuss rising military escalation in the region and Iranian attacks against Arab states.
Abdel-Aati expressed Egypt’s full solidarity with Gulf countries, Jordan, and Iraq in facing the attacks. He firmly condemned the attacks, rejecting any justification or pretext for violating the sovereignty and safety of Arab nations.
The minister stressed the urgent need to prioritize dialogue and diplomacy to reduce military escalation and ease tensions. He warned of the grave risks posed by continued instability and called for avoiding further chaos across the region.
Abdel-Aati also highlighted the importance of strengthening Arab national security. He pointed to the need for activating frameworks of joint Arab cooperation to address current threats. This includes advancing the idea of a joint Arab force to safeguard regional stability.
The meeting underscored collective Arab concern over the situation and the push for coordinated action to protect sovereignty and security.
