Egypt has voiced its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and backed measures taken by the kingdom to counter all security threats.
The Foreign Ministry reiterated in a press release issued on Saturday that Egypt supports the kingdom in all its efforts exerted to combat all forms of terrorism, extremism and violence.
Four people were wounded when Saudi national Abdullah bin Zayed al-Bakri al-Shehri set off an explosives belt.
He was one of nine men wanted for the blast that killed 15 people, mostly police, near the Yemeni border in 2015.
Egypt also wished the wounded speedy recovery, added the press release.
