CAIRO – Egypt stands fully ready to host the 47th Islamic Development Bank’s (IsDB) Board of Governors’ annual meetings, said Planning and Economic Development Minister Hala el-Said.
The four-day meeting, which will be held in Sharm el-Sheikh on June 1, 2022, is considered a great opportunity to promote co-operation between Egypt and the institutions affiliated with the IsDB, added the minister during her meeting with Chairman of IsDB Group Muhammed Sulaiman al-Jasser.
During the meeting, the minister, who is also Egypt’s Governor in IsDB, shed light on Egypt’s launch of a host of co-operation programmes with the IsDB in order to announce them during the annual meeting.
The minister, meanwhile, said that that the IsDB’s decision to choose Egypt as its regional bureau reflects the distinguished level of co-operation between the two sides.
The minister further hailed the IsDB’s role in building capabilities and offering scholarships to the Egyptian students.
The minister added that the IsDB’s co-operation spheres in Egypt include expanding in the market by providing insurance support for infrastructure projects and training human cadres.
