DOHA – Egyptian Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Co-operation Rania Al Mashat discussed with Fahd Abdullah Malik, Director of External Relations at the Education Above All Foundation, and Mane’a Mohammed Al-Ansari, CEO of the Economic Empowerment Sector at the Qatari Education Above All Foundation, ways to strengthen cooperation in the field of youth economic empowerment.

This came during her meeting with development partners and UN organisations, as part of her participation in the Egyptian delegation headed by Mostafa Madbouli, Prime Minister, representing President Abdel Fattah El Sisi at the Second World Summit for Social Development.

The summit is organised by the United Nations General Assembly in cooperation with the Qatari government and coordinated by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA), taking place from November 4 to 6.

Mashat explained that the meeting discussed supporting education efforts for the most vulnerable groups, providing training and qualification programs for youth to prepare them for the labor market, and enhancing the benefits of entrepreneurship and digital transformation programs.
