Egyptian Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar discussed on Thursday with his Qatari counterpart Hanan Al Kuwari means of fostering bilateral co-operation.
The meeting was held on the fringes of the World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH), currently held in the Qatari capital Doha.
Abdel Ghaffar congratulated the Qatari minister on the success of WISH, which is held every two years, praising its rich discussions.
The two sides agreed on exchanging expertise in the health field, Health Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said.
Qatar shall benefit from the Egyptian experience in health initiatives to conduct studies and surveys on some diseases, such as the Hepatitis C virus and breast cancer, the spokesman added.
In the same way, Egypt will make use of Qatar’s experience in applying the universal health insurance scheme and digitisation, he noted.
