The joint Egyptian–Pakistani military exercise “Thunder-2” has officially commenced with the participation of elements from the Egyptian Paratroopers and the Pakistani Special Forces.

The exercise, which runs for several days at designated special forces training ranges in Pakistan, includes a series of joint activities focused on specialised operational themes with objectives related to special forces missions and counterterrorism operations

The training aims to enhance the exchange of tactical expertise, unify operational concepts, and strengthen interoperability between the participating forces, while refining the skills and readiness of the personnel involved.

“Thunder-2” is part of the Egyptian Armed Forces’ broader joint training strategy with armed forces of brotherly and friendly nations, reflecting ongoing efforts to deepen military cooperation across various fields of defence and security.
