CAIRO – Egyptian Manpower Minister Hassan Shehata said Sunday that the International Labor Organisation (ILO) has made no remarks about Egypt in its report that will be tackled during the 112th session of the International Labour Conference, to be held in Geneva in June.
Representatives of 187 countries will attend the session in the Swiss city.
Shehata was speaking during the second session of the Supreme Council for Social Dialogue to probe a labor draft law.
The fact that Egypt is not included in the list of international labour remarks of 2024 shows that it abides by international labor standards, the minister noted.
He touched upon Egypt’s policy to provide a decent life for citizens, atop of whom the workers, noting that this is in line with directives by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
