CAIRO – Egypt’s Ambassador in Brussels Badr Abdel Aati has discussed with Chair of NATO’s Military Committee Admiral Rob Bauer the current cooperation programmes between Cairo and the alliance.
In a statement released Friday, the Foreign Ministry said Abdel Aati and Bauer shared views on the consequences of the Ukrainian crisis on the global economy and the worldwide food crisis.
They also probed other files of common interest, topped by fighting terrorism, with Abdel Aati reviewing Cairo’s efforts to confront terrorist, extremist ideology.
During the meeting, Bauer praised the pivotal Egyptian role in maintaining security and stability in the Middle East and Africa.
