Egypt and Morocco signed on Monday a series of agreements at the close of the first session of the Egyptian–Moroccan Coordination and Follow‑Up Committee in Cairo. Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch witnessed the ceremony at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
The accords covered industry, sports, youth, culture, investment, agriculture, customs, and taxation. Ministers from both sides signed memoranda on desertification, cultural exchange, and investment promotion. Finance ministers agreed on customs cooperation and avoiding double taxation.
Foreign ministers signed documents on diplomatic training, housing, renewable energy, health, and tourism. The session concluded with both prime ministers signing the minutes of the committee’s first meeting.
The agreements mark a new stage in Egyptian–Moroccan relations, aiming to expand cooperation across economic, cultural, and diplomatic fields.
