The mediators; Egypt, Qatar and Turkey, welcomed the completion of the formation of the Palestinian technocrats committee tasked with administering the Gaza Strip, headed by Ali Abdel Hamid Shaath, describing it as an important development that would help bolster efforts aimed at consolidating stability and improving humanitarian conditions in Gaza.
In a joint statement on Wednesday, the mediators expressed hope that the formation of the committee would pave the way for the implementation of the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip in line with the plan announced by US President Donald Trump, thereby contributing to the consolidation of calm and preventing a renewed escalation.
The mediators stressed the necessity for all parties to fully adhere to the agreement, in order to achieve lasting peace and create conducive conditions for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, in a manner that meets the aspirations of the brotherly Palestinian people for security, stability and a dignified life.
