CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Higher Education and Acting Minister of Health Khaled Abdel Ghaffar has voiced Egypt’s readiness to offer medical services to Malawian patients.
During a meeting with Malawian Health Minister Khumbize Chiponda on the sidelines of the Africa Health ExCon in Cairo, the two sides discussed means of strengthening the medical sector in Malawi through training medical cadres and transferring expertise to the eastern African nation, Spokesman for the Health Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said.
The Egyptian minister voiced Cairo’s keenness to transfer expertise to Lilongwe in the field of producing medicines.
He also issued directives to take the Malawian delegation on a tour of the Arab Company for Drug Industries & Medical Appliances (ACDIMA) pharmaceutical company to brief them on the production process.
