CAIRO – Egyptian Agriculture Minister Sayed el-Qusair and his Lebanese counterpart Abbas Hajj Hassan discussed on Monday vistas of boosting agricultural co-operation.
The meeting tackled increasing trade exchange, agricultural partnership, digital transformation, capacity building and agricultural researches.
Qusair reviewed the agricultural boom Egypt is witnessing in light of an increase in the size of cultivated areas and the expansion in animal, fish and poultry projects.
He noted that Egyptian agricultural exports are now invading world markets and there is a growing demand for such high quality products.
The Lebanese minister lauded the Egyptian political leadership’s support for Arab brethren, saying his meeting with Qusair was constructive and tackled export problems and co-operation in the agricultural guidance domain.
He agreed to facilitate measures to let Egyptian agricultural products into his county.
The two sides also agreed to continue holding meetings of the joint technical committee to iron out any hurdles.
