Under the slogan “Show Them Egypt Through Your Eyes”, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Ministry of Education and Technical Education have launched the first edition of the student competition “Tourism Ambassador,” running throughout April until May 1.
The initiative aims to enhance tourism and archaeological awareness among Egyptians, particularly young people, fostering a stronger sense of national belonging and deepening understanding of Egypt’s rich historical and cultural heritage.
Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy stressed the importance of raising tourism and archaeological awareness among children and youth.

He noted that the initiative aligns with the state’s broader vision of developing human capital and nurturing a generation that recognises the value of Egypt’s heritage and is committed to preserving it.
Soha Bahgat, Adviser to the Minister for Training Affairs, said the competition targets school students across all educational stages — primary, preparatory, and secondary — aged 10 to 18 nationwide.
She explained that the competition features three main categories: drawing, video production, and promotional essay writing about the participant’s governorate or local tourist destination, highlighting Egypt’s diverse tourism and archaeological assets.

Nine winners will be selected, three in each category across different educational stages. They will receive certificates of recognition, in addition to a four-day tourism trip to Hurghada sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.
The initiative aims to encourage creativity, strengthen national identity, and provide students with the opportunity to explore Egypt’s tourism destinations, enabling each participant to serve as an ambassador for Egyptian tourism.
