The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has inaugurated the first edition of the Advanced Executive Leadership Program (AELP), aimed at preparing and training second- and third-tier leaders within the ministry and its affiliated bodies. The program was launched today at the ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital under the patronage of Minister Sherif Fathy.
The initiative, organized in cooperation with the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, IBDL Learning Group, and international academic partners, includes 31 selected participants who passed rigorous tests and interviews. Over the course of nearly four months, trainees will attend lectures, workshops, and professional immersion sessions covering leadership, public administration, and practical applications.
Minister Fathy stressed that investing in human capital is a top priority, highlighting the importance of developing personal and behavioral skills alongside professional knowledge. He emphasized teamwork, effective communication, and adaptability as key elements for institutional excellence, while noting that future editions of the program will be launched with updated content.
The program is delivered by Egyptian and international experts, with each participant receiving a comprehensive development file at the end. Senior officials from the ministry, including Ahmed Youssef, CEO of the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority, and other advisors, attended the opening session, which also featured a video presentation on Egypt’s commitment to human resource development in tourism and antiquities.
