CAIRO – The State, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, is keen to lure investments to the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), especially in renewable energy projects, affirmed Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli.
He also underlined the need of channeling all the necessary efforts in order to take advantage of the distinguished strategic location of the SCZone.
Madbouli’s remarks came during his meeting Monday with SCZone Chairman Yehia Zaki to discuss the global offers to establish green hydrogen projects at the SCZone.
Zaki, for his part, stressed that Egypt has the essential capabilities for the production of green hydrogen and the expansion in its projects.
Zaki said that three global alliances have submitted applications for projects for the production of green hydrogen in Egypt’s Sokhna and East-Port Said regions.
