Egyptian Minister of Planning Hala el Saeed said Friday that Egypt was keen on boosting co-operation with the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and its institutions, as well as playing a key role in developing IsDB business.
El Saeed’s comments came during a videoconference meeting with IsDB President Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser during which they discussed means of boosting co-operation, as well as preparations for the coming IsDB annual general assembly, planned to be hosted by Egypt.
The minister said opening a regional office for IsDB should increase co-operation and coordination between IsDB institutions and the Egyptian, Arab, and African business communities.
