CAIRO – Moustafa El Sherbeni, the European Union’s Climate Pact Ambassador, has praised Egypt’s hands-on experience in facing desertification with the view to realizing the goals of the National Climate Change Strategy (NCCS).
Sherbeni, who also holds a position at the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization, said that Egypt’s plan is based on reclaiming new plots of lands.
He made his remarks at an event held in Cairo to mark the 2024 World Environment Day, in the presence of a host of climate ambassadors.
