Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Ahmed Morsi has stressed the depth of relations with Iraq.
During a meeting on Tuesday with Iraqi Defense Minister Jomaa Enad Saadoun, the minister said that his ministry is keen on implementing the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to increase co-operation with Iraq in all fields especially in military industrialisation and technology transfer among others.
The two ministers toured a factory producing and repairing armors (Military Factory 200) accompanied by top Egyptian and Iraqi military officials along with Iraqi Ambassador in Cairo Ahmed Nayef Al Deleimi.
During the tour, the ministers and their accompanying delegations inspected a number of factories such as “Sinai 200”, “M1A1” and tanks “ST-500” and reviewed the products of the military facility used in national projects the state has been carrying out.
The Iraqi minister, for his part, hailed Egypt’s efforts to support Iraq at all levels and expressed hope for promoting co-operation and making use of Egypt’s experiment in the development domain.
Media advisor to the Ministry of State for Military Production and official spokesman for the ministry Mohamed Bakr said the two sides agreed to continue coordination and consultations on issues of mutual concern and co-operation.
