CAIRO/GENEVA – Egyptian Health and Population Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar discussed on Sunday with his Iraqi counterpart Saleh Mehdi Al Hasnawi ways of boosting co-operation in drug export and registration.
Abdel Ghaffar lauded deeply-rooted relations binding Egypt with Iraq and their continued coordination in all domains, said spokesman for the ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar.
The meeting tackled chances for exporting Egyptian medicines to Iraq, facilitating registration of Iraqi medicines in Egypt and training Iraqi medical cadres in organ transplant and blood vessel surgery domains.
Abdel Ghaffar invited his Iraqi counterpart to attend the second edition of the World Conference for Health, Population and Development, to take place in October.
The Iraqi minister expressed his desire to benefit from the Egyptian expertise in building and rehabilitating Iraqi hospitals and treating Iraqi patients at Egyptian hospitals.
