Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid exchanged Wednesday points of view on a number of regional and Arab issues of mutual interest.
This came in a meeting held on the sidelines of the Arab summit in Algeria.
They agreed on intensifying coordination to face the challenges witnessed in the region to achieve the aspirations of the peoples to live in peace and stability.
Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said that Sisi asserted the depth and strength of the Egyptian-Iraqi ties.
He also asserted Egypt’s keenness on pushing forward bilateral cooperation with Iraq towards new horizons in the different political, economic and commercial domains.
Meanwhile, Rashid lauded the Egyptian efforts supporting Iraq at all the different levels and lauded the fraternal ties binding Egypt and Iraq.
He asserted Iraq’s keenness on boosting bilateral cooperation with Egypt in the different fields in the coming period.
Rashid also lauded the Egyptian prominent role in boosting mechanisms of joint Arab work to face the current crises and challenges in the region.
