Debora Revoltella, Director of the Economics Department of the European Investment Bank (EIB), said Egypt has made significant achievements in green energy projects over the past years.
She told MENA on Saturday that the Egyptian government has serious plans to develop sources of green energy such as green hydrogen, wind and solar energy.
Revoltella reiterated that such policies adopted by Egypt will be enhanced over the long and medium runs as Egypt has recently launched the National Strategy for Climate Change 2050 to prioritise climate and environment issues.
The bank is keen to fund green energy projects in Egypt, she said, adding that the bank has invested 59 billion euros in 52 African countries since 1965, she said.
