CEO of British energy company Globeleq Mike Scholey said Egypt has huge potential in the renewable energy field; making it an exceptional and unique country because of its sources of wind energy and solar power.
In statements to MENA following the injection of Globeleq investments into the Benban Solar Park near the Upper Egyptian governorate of Aswan, Scholey said Globeleq – one of the largest global investors in renewable energy in Africa – is ready to support Egypt to expand its renewable energy projects.
He highlighted the importance of the company’s decision to pump investments into Benban Solar Park as Egypt is highly qualified to encourage more investors to set up multitude ventures, including those in the renewable energy sector.
Scholey said Globeleq seeks to put up further investments in Egypt in the wind energy and solar power spheres.
