AMMAN – Industry and Transport Minister Kamel El Wazir has lauded historic and deeply-rooted ties between Egypt, Jordan and Iraq, underlining the need to cement tripartite cooperation on transport.

The minister’s remarks came Friday during a general assembly meeting of Arab Bridge Company in the Jordanian capital, Amman in the presence of Iraqi and Jordanian ministers of transport and a host of respective officials.

El Wazir said the establishment of the Arab Bridge Company reflects successful partnership between the Arab countries and contributes to increasing trade exchange between Arab, Asian and African countries.

He also shed light on great achievements made by Egypt, under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, in all fields to serve Arab trade.

Arab Bridge Company was established in 1985 with a vision for the governments of Jordan, Egypt and Iraq to transport passengers and vehicles on regular sea trips between Aqaba port in Jordan and Nuweibaa port in Egypt.

The company has its distinguished and diverse fleet, from ships to transport passengers to ships specializing in sea freight to tourist boats on unforgettable trips.
