Egypt, Greece discuss signing cooperation agreement on fighting corruption

SHARM EL-SHEIKH, Egypt – Head of Egypt’s Administrative Control Authority Hassan Abdel Shafi and Head of Greece’s anti-graft body, the Transparency Authority, Angelos Binis have agreed to sign a cooperation agreement on fighting corruption.

During a meeting via video conference Thursday, the two sides discussed ways of boosting cooperation between Egypt and Greece in the issues of countering corruption, raising awareness about its dangers, and exchanging experts and expertise in the fields of training.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of 9th session of the Conference of State Parties to the United Nations Convention Against Corruption, which is held in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh.
