CAIRO – Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shourky Monday is due to embark on an official visit to Morocco with the aim of boosting bilateral co-operation between the two countries.
During his visit, the Egyptian top diplomat will hold a series of meetings with his Moroccan counterpart Nasser Bourita along with a host of high-level Moroccan officials, said Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Hafez.
The talks are expected to tackle ways of promoting ties between Egypt and Morocco in the various spheres, especially in the economic and trade fields, in a way that fulfills the ambitions and aspirations of both peoples and countries and achieves mutual interests of prosperity and development, added the spokesman.
Shoukry will further discuss with the Moroccan officials the latest developments in the international arena as well as a host of regional and Arab regional issues, according to the spokesman.
He will also exchange viewpoints towards safeguarding the Arab national security along with discussing ways of entrenching security and stability in the region, added the spokesman.
Shoukry is also scheduled to open the new premises of the Egyptian Embassy in Rabat.
