Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli took part on Tuesday in the Egypt–Finland Business Forum, held at the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones in Cairo, with the participation of Finnish President Alexander Stubb, several ministers, senior officials, and business representatives from both countries.
Madbouli welcomed President Stubb and the delegations, stressing that the forum reflects the deep friendship and growing economic integration between Egypt and Finland. He underlined Egypt’s role as a strategic gateway to the Middle East and Africa, backed by a young population and extensive infrastructure development programs.
The prime minister pointed to Finland’s global leadership in digital transformation, education, and green technology, noting that Egypt has implemented major structural reforms to attract investment, including legislative updates and advanced infrastructure projects such as the Suez Canal Economic Zone. He invited Finnish partners to explore priority sectors offering promising opportunities, including digital transformation, clean energy, water projects, education, healthcare, and manufacturing.
Madbouli emphasized the government’s commitment to act as a partner to investors, addressing challenges to ensure sustainable success. He concluded by highlighting the importance of President Stubb’s visit as a milestone in bilateral relations, expressing hope that the forum will launch new partnerships and strengthen cooperation for a more prosperous future for both nations.
