The project aims to strengthen regional gas integration in the Eastern Mediterranean.
He confirmed that Chevron would continue offshore exploration, adding that the company is investing around $60 million in drilling activities in the Mediterranean.
Neff also reviewed progress in two concession areas operated by Chevron in Egypt.
The talks also covered cooperation on emissions reduction. This includes carbon capture and storage technologies under Chevron’s 2026 plans. Renewable energy projects were also discussed.
Neff said Chevron signed new agreements on the sidelines of EGYPES 2026 to expand its projects in Egypt. He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to increasing gas supplies to the local market.
