CAIRO – Egypt exported 4,030 food shipments totaling 200,000 tonnes during the week of 18–24 October, according to the 39th weekly report for 2025 issued by the National Food Safety Authority (NFSA).

The shipments were supplied by 1,355 Egyptian companies and included around 823 different food items ranging from flour and grain products to vegetables, fruits, molasses, black honey, and processed foods.

Sweet potatoes led the list of exported food products with 12,000 tonnes, followed by frozen vegetables at 10,000 tons and beans at 6,000 tonnes. 

Pomegranates led fruit exports with 16,000 tonnes across 35 varieties, to be followed by mangoes (6,000 tonnes), and strawberries (6,000 tonnes).

These exports were shipped to more than 193 countries, with UK, Yemen, Syria, Sudan among the top importers.
