CAIRO – An Egyptian-European summit will take place in Cairo on Sunday to upgrade relations between the two sides to the level of strategic and comprehensive partnership.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi will meet today EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, head of current EU session and Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo as well as leaders and heads of governments of Italy, Cyprus, Greece and Austria, said Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmi.
Sisi will hold bilateral meetings with the European officials on furthering bilateral relations.
Also a summit meeting will be held to discuss developing relations between Egypt and the EU in all domains, especially regarding political relations, combatting terrorism, economic co-operation and files of energy, immigration, industry, education and technology.
The summit will also discuss regional developments, especially the war on Gaza and ways of restoring regional security and stability.
