He highlighted preparations for the fifteenth round of the Egypt–European Union parliamentary dialogue in Brussels, noting that it will provide an opportunity to present developments in Egypt’s ongoing reform and modernisation process and to explore avenues for deeper institutional co-operation.
Minister Abdel-Aati further stressed the importance of a comprehensive approach to migration that links it with development, addresses root causes of irregular migration, and expands safe and legal pathways for mobility and employment.
The discussions also covered regional developments, where Minister Abdel-Aati reviewed Egypt’s ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation and containment of tensions in the region.
He also outlined Egypt’s position on developments in the Gaza Strip, Sudan, Syria and Lebanon, warning of the severe implications these crises continue to have on regional security and stability.
